Bea Brock has had a lifelong affair with color, fibers and textiles.
Her professional experiences include graphic designing and illustrating which led her to pursue a Fine Arts education and graduating from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a degree emphasis in painting and drawing. She discovered rug hooking in 1993 and has been hooking and designing patterns since then. She is a McGown Certified instructor and first began distributing her pattern designs with Primco/Charco in 1999.
Her "Birds & Berries" rug appeared in Celebrations XIII. She produced her first dye formula book "Gemstone Colors" with accompanying swatches in 2007. Bea continues designing for her self-published catalog, teaching at workshops in and outside of Texas, and managing her web business www.hillcountry-rugworks.com from her home base in Kerrville, Texas. |
